Design and Block Print Your Own Fabric with legendary visual artist and published author Little Rowan Redhead!

In this engaging block print workshop in St Peters, you'll have the opportunity to learn how to design and then block print your own fabric with the amazingly talented and published author Little Rowan Redhead.

Over the course of three hours, you'll learn and embrace sustainable art by designing, carving, and block printing your own fabric which you can use to create your own textile items or turn these into reusable fabric wraps otherwise known as Furishiki.

During the workshop, Little Rowan Redhead will guide you through the process, making sure even beginners can feel at ease and unleash their artistic talents. You'll learn how to design and carve unique rubber stamps and print your motifs onto fabric, creating not only stunning artworks but also practical and personalized gift wraps. These Furoshiki creations can be used for wrapping gifts, as tote bags, or even as decorative elements in your living space.

Not only will you learn the art of block printing and design, but you'll also have the chance to connect with like-minded individuals in a supportive and collaborative environment. Engage in discussions with fellow participants, delving into ideas for sustainable living and finding creative inspirations.

By the end of the workshop, you will leave with your own hand-printed Furoshiki wrap and any rubber stamps you carve, allowing you to continue your eco-friendly gift wrapping journey at home. Since 2017 Rowan has been teaching block printing and watercolour workshops around the country in corporate, private and public settings. Rowan finds teaching to be incredibly rewarding - helping others to flex their creative muscles is as satisfying to her as pulling off a successful print! Cancellation Policy: Due to the limited number of spaces for workshops, all bookings are final and strictly non refundable. We do not refund classes but you are welcome to send someone else in your place if you can't make it on the day. Since Rowan is a special guest teacher it is not possible to reschedule the workshop to another day. In most of our workshops we require a minimum number of people to run the workshop and will do our absolute best to run every workshop we list but occasionally it is not commercially feasible to do so. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we may cancel the class; in this case, we'll inform you and allow you to get a full refund or reschedule.
