Bond with Your Child in a Creative Terrazzo Workshop – Make Beautiful Homewares Together in Our Inspiring Space!

Join us in our inspiring, spacious warehouse in St Peters for a special Parent & Child Terrazzo Homewares Workshop. We’ve heard from many parents during our kids' workshops that they wish they could join in the fun—now you can! Together, you and your child (16 years and under) will learn the art of creating terrazzo homewares, making your own marbled chips and hand-casting them into a beautiful pot or trinket tray.

Our workshop offers a hands-on, collaborative experience where you can bond over crafting and create lasting memories.

What you'll learn:

• Mix and add colours to the Jesmonite to create your own unique palette (with plenty of inspiration provided).
• Make your coloured chips (maximum of three colours) for your terrazzo mix, with access to our stock of additional colours for extra variety.
• Cast your materials into a silicone mould for your chosen shape.
• Learn how to sand and seal your piece, and take home all the sandpaper you need to complete the finishing touches.

Workshop options:

• Create a small pot or trinket tray together for $95.
• Add an extra pot or trinket tray for an additional $25 (using the same set of coloured chips).
• If both you and your child would like to make your own coloured chips and pieces, book two spaces for a $10 discount per person when booking two or more spaces.

What you'll need to bring:

You may want to bring along any colour inspiration you or terrazzo references you have, we will have some on hand but since there are limitless possibilities it is a good idea to know what you like! And a bag to carry your work home.
We provide everything you need for the workshop including an apron to protect your clothes but it can get a bit messy so don't dress to impress.

Suitable for:

No prior experience required, this class is suitable for absolute beginners.
Suitable for Mums, Dads, Aunties, Uncles and their kids (8 to 16 years - younger children will struggle with the mixing). 

Our workshop includes quality refreshments, snacks, great coffee, and a selection of teas to enjoy while you work.

Crafting is as much about creativity as it is about connection. In our workshops, you and your child will have the opportunity to meet new friends, share stories, laugh together, and enjoy some quality time away from screens.

Class sizes are kept small to ensure you receive hands-on assistance while you learn and create in our beautiful and inspiring space.

Jesmonite is an eco-friendly, solvent-free material with no VOCs. It sets quickly, ensuring your piece is ready by the end of the workshop. We recommend pregnant women consult their healthcare professional before working with any materials.

Please note: Due to time and space constraints, if you choose to make more than one piece, they must be created from the same set of coloured chips.

Cancellation Policy: You can reschedule your class with up to 7 days notice. We do not refund classes but you are welcome to send someone else in your place if you can't make it on the day. We reserve the right to cancel classes if minimum numbers are not met in which case we will offer to reschedule or a full refund.
