Discover the art of terrazzo in our hands-on Terrazzo Homewares workshop! At Made by Me Workshop, we believe in offering a truly unique and creative experience, and our terrazzo class is designed to stand out. Unlike other workshops, we empower you to create your own terrazzo chips in any colour you can imagine, ensuring your pieces are as unique as your imagination.

What you'll create:

Choose from a variety of shapes to make your own customised terrazzo homeware item:

• Terrazzo Pot
• Oval Tray
• Round Tray
• Pair of Square Coasters
• Or a combination of these shapes

What you'll learn:

• Custom Colour Mixing: Learn how to mix and add colours to Jesmonite, creating a personalised colour palette. We’ll provide plenty of colour inspiration!
• Handmade Terrazzo Chips: Create your own coloured chips (maximum of three colours) to add a personal touch to your terrazzo mix. You’ll also have access to our stock of pre-made chips in various colours.
• Casting Techniques: Cast your materials into silicone moulds for your chosen shape.
• Finishing Touches: Once your piece is cured, we’ll guide you through sanding and sealing. You’ll even take home all the sandpaper you need to perfect your piece.

Class details:

• Duration: 3 hours
• Cost: $95 for smaller items, $120 for larger items. If you choose to make more than one piece, you’ll need to use the same colour chips due to time constraints or choose other colours from our stock of pre-made chips in various colours.
• Safety: Jesmonite is considered safe by most experts, but we recommend pregnant women check with their healthcare professional before working with any chemicals.

What you'll need to bring:

You may want to bring along any colour inspiration you or terrazzo references you have, we will have some on hand but since there are limitless possibilities it is a good idea to know what you like! And a bag to carry your work home.
We provide everything you need for the workshop including an apron to protect your clothes but it can get a bit messy so don't dress to impress.

Suitable for:

No prior experience required, this class is suitable for absolute beginners with an open mind and a spirit of adventure.
This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a team building activity, birthday or hens party.

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 12 years old). Children must be accompanied by a responsible paying adult.

Cancellation Policy: You can reschedule your class with up to 7 days notice. We do not refund classes but you are welcome to send someone else in your place if you can't make it on the day. We reserve the right to cancel classes if minimum numbers are not met in which case we will offer to reschedule or a full refund.
