Sew your own beautiful Christmas stocking, handmade by you and ready & waiting for Santa to fill.

Join us for a cheerful morning of sewing, creativity and Christmas spirit. You’ll sew your own Christmas stocking — the perfect handmade touch for your festive décor or a thoughtful gift for someone special.

Rebecca (Chief Elf) will guide you step by step, from cutting your pattern to stitching and finishing your stocking beautifully. The design can be fully lined or simply faced (for an easier finish), so you can choose the option that best suits your experience and fabrics.

What You’ll Learn

What To Bring

You’ll need to bring your own fabrics and trims:

• Option 1 (Fully Lined): 60cm of main fabric + 60cm of lining fabric

• Option 2 (Faced Only): 60cm of main fabric + 35cm of facing fabric

  (Fabric should be at least 110cm wide, or 120cm wide if you plan to cut cross-grain.)

We recommend light- to mid-weight woven fabrics such as linen, cotton, drill, canvas, cotton duck, denim or cotton-linen blends. Choose fabrics of similar weight for best results.

If your fabric has a directional design (like stripes or prints running lengthwise), make sure you allow enough fabric to keep the pattern running the right way — especially if you plan to cut cross-grain.

This project is also perfect for using up fabric scraps or oddments — you can make each side different, patchwork them together (ahead of time), or even embellish your stocking with simple embroidery, ribbons, pom poms or bells.

(Lightweight cotton batting can be added for extra structure, though it’s not recommended for first-time sewists.)

Perfect for confident beginners, ideally those who’ve sewn a simple project before. Absolute beginners are welcome too — the design is simple and Rebecca will help you every step of the way.

Cancellation Policy: Due to the seasonal nature of this workshop it can not be cancelled or rescheduled. You are welcome to send someone else in your place if you can't make it on the day. In most of our workshops we require a minimum number of people to run the workshop and will do our absolute best to run every workshop we list but occasionally it is not commercially feasible to do so. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we may cancel the class; in this case, we'll inform you and allow you to get a full refund or reschedule.
