Learn Tie Dye and Shibori Techniques in Our School Holiday Workshop Sydney: Create Unique Tote Bags, Pillow Slips, and More!
Bring some colour into your child’s school holidays with our Kids Tie Dye Workshop! In this fun and hands-on class, kids aged 8 to 12 will learn the basics of tie dye and Shibori techniques, using traditional indigo dye to create unique patterns on fabric.
From folding and binding to dipping and dyeing, your child will experiment with designs and techniques to create 2–3 personalised items. We’ll provide a tote bag and pillow slip, and kids can also bring their own T-shirt to dye. This workshop is perfect for kids who love to get creative while learning something new!
What Kids Will Learn
- How to use Shibori techniques like folding, binding, and clamping.
- How to work with indigo dye to create vibrant, long-lasting designs.
- Tips for experimenting with patterns to make unique items.
What to Bring
- A packed lunch, snacks and a water bottle
- Please avoid foods containing nuts or other common allergens
- A plain cotton T-shirt or another small fabric item to dye.
- Kids should wear old clothes they don’t mind getting dirty or wet!
