Christmas Felt Angels Workshop With Pauline Franklyn

Learn the art of wet felting to create an adorable Angel ready for Christmas!

Join us in our inspiring St Peters workshop and learn the art of wet felting with esteemed textile artist Pauline Franklyn, who will be visiting all the way from Perth. In this class, you will discover the fascinating technique of resist wet felting. With Pauline's expert guidance, you'll have the chance to expand your creative skills and create a seamless 3-dimensional Angel using wool fleece and a template and apply lace using the Nuno method for added details and texture. 

Don't worry if you're a beginner - this class is designed to make you feel comfortable and confident. Pauline will supply everything you need, ensuring a stress-free and enjoyable experience. 

Throughout the workshop, you'll learn the step-by-step process of wet felting, as well as creating a solid felt ball onto which you will embroider the Angel’s adorable face. To add the finishing touch, you'll use lace for the wings to add detail to your beautiful Christmas Angel. 

Not only will you learn new skills and expand your creativity, but you'll also have the opportunity to connect with fellow crafters in a welcoming and supportive environment. 

During the class, we'll also serve a lovely morning tea or coffee to keep you energized and inspired. 

By the end of this workshop, you'll leave with a newfound appreciation for the art of wet felting and a one-of-a-kind Angel to cherish.

Pauline Franklyn has developed and explored her love of textiles through stitching, felting, crochet and appliqué for over 20 years.
She teaches weekly workshops from her home studio in Perth W.A. and loves sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm for making.

 This workshop is beginner-friendly - No prior knowledge, or skills are required!

Cancellation Policy: Due to the limited number of spaces for workshops, all bookings are final and strictly non refundable. We do not refund classes but you are welcome to send someone else in your place if you can't make it on the day. Since Pauline is a special guest teacher it is not possible to reschedule the workshop to another day. In most of our workshops we require a minimum number of people to run the workshop and will do our absolute best to run every workshop we list but occasionally it is not commercially feasible to do so. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we may cancel the class; in this case, we'll inform you and allow you to get a full refund or reschedule.
