Looking for a creative school holiday activity that’s fun, practical, and confidence-boosting? In this hands-on workshop, kids aged 8–12 will learn how to personalise and customise their own clothes using fabric scraps and easy hand-stitching techniques.

They’ll bring in a plain piece of their own clothing—ideally a t-shirt, hoodie, denim skirt or shorts—and transform it with fabric off cuts and cheerful stitches at two creative stations:

✨ Stitch It – Add a personal touch with embroidery using one easy stitch to create names, words, or tiny motifs

Whether they want to make a bold statement or a subtle detail, this workshop is all about personal style, upcycling, and building sewing confidence.

What To Bring

A packed lunch, snacks, and a water bottle.
Please avoid foods containing nuts or other common allergens (as a courtesy to other participants).
Kids should wear old clothes they don’t mind getting messy.

Who It’s For

Perfect for kids aged 8–12. No prior experience needed – just a love of making! All materials provided.

Please note this class is not suitable for children under 8 years old or those in Years K–2, as the activities involve fine motor skills and fiddly techniques that younger children often find too challenging.

Cancellation Policy: Due to the seasonal nature of this workshop it can not be cancelled or rescheduled. You are welcome to send someone else in your place if you can't make it on the day. In most of our workshops we require a minimum number of people to run the workshop and will do our absolute best to run every workshop we list but occasionally it is not commercially feasible to do so. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we may cancel the class; in this case, we'll inform you and allow you to get a full refund or reschedule.
