Punch Needle Workshop

Punch needle brings together the best of rug hooking and embroidery in a fun and efficient way, many people have likened it to painting with yarn.

If you're thinking about making your own rug or you just want to create some colourful art for your home, this is a great place to start! We have a wide range of designs or create your own – either way, you’ll walk away with a crafty creation you can hang straight on the wall or turn into a cushion. The only limit is your imagination. Absolutely no experience is necessary, this technique is easy to learn and quicker to finish than embroidery. Our Chief Crafting Officer Rebecca, will guide you through every step in this hands on workshop to ensure you master the skills needed to produce a beautiful piece you'll be proud to say was "Made by Me"

These punch needles are valued at $60 each and while there are cheaper options, none of these come even close to the Amy Oxford punch Needle in quality or effectiveness - they will be a lovely addition to any crafter's tool kit. 

Morgan No-Slip Embroidery Hoops an ordinary embroidery hoop will not hold up to the punch needle process, these hoops have a unique patented feature, a tongue and groove configuration which holds your fabric securely. No-slip means no-slip, there is no movement of your works until it is removed from the ring. They are valued at $30 for the small size and go up to $45 for the larger size.

We believe craft is as much about creativity as it is about connection, in our workshops you have the opportunity to meet new friends, share a few stories, laugh with each other and simply enjoy some time out for yourself.

Class sizes are always kept small so that participants will enjoy hands on assistance while you learn and create.

No gathering is complete without something delicious to eat, we will have snacks and tea or coffee making supplies on hand. (if you prefer your caffeine to be barista made, pick one up a few doors down at Cafe 212).

Cancellation Policy: Due to the

limited number of spaces in our workshops, all bookings are final and strictly non-refundable. You can reschedule your class with up to 7 days notice. Bookings that are rescheduled with less than 7 days notice will incur a $50 rescheduling fee, rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice will result in a cancellation without the possibility of a refund. If future workshop dates or times are not suitable, you can use the value of your booking toward another workshop but we ask that you rebook within 6 months of your original booking. You are welcome to send someone else in your place if you can't make it on the day. We reserve the right to cancel classes if minimum numbers are not met in which case we will offer to reschedule or a full refund.
