Join us in Sydney for a slow stitching embroidery workshop with renowned textile artist Pauline Franklyn.

Discover new textures, playful stitches and colour-rich wool yarns in this joyful embroidery workshop with textile artist Pauline Franklyn.

In this creative session, you’ll explore a variety of accessible and satisfying stitch techniques, including French knots, weaving, Turkey work, and adaptations of long and short stitch. Using a gridded layout as your starting point, you’ll begin stitching onto a heavyweight linen square, building up a richly textured surface with Pauline’s hand-dyed wool threads and yarns.

This workshop is perfect for returning stitchers looking to try new techniques, experiment with texture, and enjoy a few hours of mindful making in a beautiful, welcoming studio. First-time embroiderers are also very welcome – the project is designed to be creative, achievable and enjoyable at any level.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a beautiful in-progress embroidery piece to take home in a 15cm bamboo hoop, ready to continue at your own pace.

Whether you’re expanding your embroidery repertoire or simply seeking a few hours of colour and calm, this slow stitching workshop offers inspiration, community, and the gentle pleasure of needle and thread.
