Make your own statement jewellery with Sophie Cooper from Scoops Design at Made By Me Workshop in St Peters.

In this lively, hands-on class you’ll design, paint and assemble a set of earrings, a brooch and a necklace from pre-cut wooden shapes, Sophie will also have some patterned pieces available for you to use. Experiment with colour, pattern and form as you create striking, wearable art that expresses your own personality.

Sophie will guide you step-by-step through painting techniques, pattern ideas and jewellery-making basics, then show you how to combine your hand-painted pieces into finished designs. You’ll also pick up practical tips on sourcing materials locally and online, so you can keep creating at home.

This workshop embraces sustainability and creativity, using timber offcuts and reclaimed materials wherever possible — proving that beautiful design doesn’t have to come at the planet’s expense.

No experience is needed — just bring your curiosity and a love of colour! You’ll leave with three finished pieces and the inspiration to make many more.

Cancellation Policy: Due to the limited number of spaces for workshops, all bookings are final and strictly non refundable. We do not refund classes but you are welcome to send someone else in your place if you can't make it on the day. Since Sophie is a special guest teacher it may not be possible to reschedule the workshop to another day but with a minimum 5 days notice we will do our best to reschedule to another date or an alternative workshop. In most of our workshops we require a minimum number of people to run the workshop and will do our absolute best to run every workshop we list but occasionally it is not commercially feasible to do so. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we may cancel the class; in this case, we'll inform you and allow you to get a full refund or reschedule.
