Join Roxy Creations for a peaceful and inspiring two-day class, where you’ll create your very own soft-covered textile journal. Whether you’re new to slow stitching or already obsessed with textile collage, this workshop is a wonderful chance to explore your creativity and immerse yourself in fabric, thread, and vintage charm.
What You’ll Make:
Over the course of this gentle 2-day workshop, you’ll:
Day 1: Slow-Stitched Journal Cover
Design and stitch the cover of your textile journal using Roxy Creations’ signature fabrics and a curated selection of vintage textiles. Learn how to layer, compose, and embellish your cover using simple, beautiful hand stitches.
Day 2: Construct Your Junk Journal
Construct your journal and begin working on the pages inside. You’ll explore a variety of collage and embellishment techniques, and gain the confidence to keep building your journal at home. These are slow-made treasures – projects you can continue adding to over weeks or even months.
Included Materials:
- A complete textile kit including everything you need to create your journal cover and pages
- An extra embellishment kit packed with vintage and found materials: fabrics, trims, lace, Suffolk puffs, threads, and more
- All tools provided – just bring your favourite embroidery scissors if you have them
- Access to an exclusive pop-up shop featuring Roxy Creations’ original fabrics, kits, and more (Cash, PayPal or Direct Deposit accepted)
Workshop Details:
This is a 2-day workshop running from Thursday 17th to Friday 18th July, 9am–4pm daily.
By booking into the first date listed, you’re securing your place for both days – no separate bookings required.
Please note: You likely won’t finish your textile journal within the two days, but you’ll leave with a clear understanding of how to complete it and continue embellishing it in your own time.

Roxy Creations is a creative collaboration between Australian sisters Rachel and Sarah, who share a lifelong love of sewing, painting, and all things vintage and beautiful. Though they live on opposite sides of the world – Rachel in Italy and Sarah in Australia – their passion for handmade crafts and storytelling through fabric and paper continues to connect them.
