Create your own graphic pennant inspired by vintage camp banners, using hand stitching and embroidery techniques.

In this school holiday workshop designed for older kids and teens, participants will design and create a bold, personalised pennant using layered shapes, colour and typography. Drawing on a curated palette of materials, they’ll explore how to combine simple elements into a clean, cohesive design.

Using templates as a starting point, students can create their name, initials or a word that feels meaningful to them, working with strong shapes and lettering to build a piece that reflects their own style.

With guidance on layout, spacing and composition, each pennant will feel balanced and intentional, with plenty of room for personalisation and creative choice.

Finished pieces will include simple stitch detailing and will be ready to hang, creating a piece of room décor that feels considered, individual and a little more grown-up.

Who It’s For

Designed for kids aged 12–15 (Years 7–10), this workshop is perfect for older kids and teens who are ready for a slightly more independent, design-led project.

Confident Year 6 students who are comfortable working independently are also welcome to join, particularly those who feel ready for a more design-led workshop.

No prior experience needed — all materials (except t-shirts) are provided.

Cancellation Policy: Due to the seasonal nature of this workshop it can not be cancelled or rescheduled. You are welcome to send someone else in your place if you can't make it on the day. In most of our workshops we require a minimum number of people to run the workshop and will do our absolute best to run every workshop we list but occasionally it is not commercially feasible to do so. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we may cancel the class; in this case, we'll inform you and allow you to get a full refund or reschedule.
