Create your own all-natural cold process soap using botanical dyes like rhubarb, annatto, and indigo.

In this specialty workshop, you’ll explore the art of using plant-based colourants to create beautiful, naturally dyed soap bars. We’ll show you how botanicals like rhubarb, annatto, alkanet, and indigo can transform your cold process soap into richly coloured bars—without synthetic dyes or pigments.

Through a hands-on approach, you’ll learn how different preparation methods (infused oils vs powders at trace) and the soap’s pH level can affect the final colour. You’ll make your own batch of cold process soap using two botanical colours—one infused and one powdered—to compare results side-by-side.

This is a great class if you’ve attended our Signature Luxury Soap Workshop and want to deepen your skills, or if you’re new to soap making and curious about all-natural, plant-powered colour.

A Journey into Soap Making

Our Botanically Dyed Cold Process Soap Workshop is part of our Specialty Soap Series—a rotating collection of workshops that introduce new ingredients, techniques, and inspiration to expand your cold process soap-making skills.

Whether you’ve already joined us for our Signature Luxury Soap Workshop or you’re diving straight into a specialty class, each session offers expert guidance, beautiful results, and a new recipe to explore.

Each month we focus on a different formulation—Goat’s Milk & Honey, Botanically Dyed Soap, Salt Spa Bar, or Coconut Milk & Aloe Vera—so if one catches your eye, we recommend booking early as they rotate throughout the year.

You’ll leave with your own custom loaf of handmade soap and the knowledge and confidence to continue creating at home.

Please bring a towel and a bag to keep your soap warm on its way home.

The ideal bag is a supermarket-style reusable bag with a rectangular base (not a soft plastic bag).

Returning Makers – Bring Back Your Mould

All participants receive a reusable silicone mould, which is yours to keep and reuse.

If you’re returning for another soap workshop, you’re welcome to bring your mould back and book using our Refill Class option—a discounted ticket available to repeat attendees. It’s a small way to reduce waste and encourage continued making.
