What you get:
We will provide everything you need to create an entire loaf of soap including a beautiful selection of oils and body butters as well as Rebecca's favourite range of essential oils, clays and botanicals to personalise your soap. Your soap loaf can then be cut down to make approximately 8–12 beautiful handmade bars. Your soap will need to cure for a further 1 - 3 days in the mould you kept from your first class. Once sliced your soap bars will need a further 4 weeks to fully cure before using.
This class is only available to customers who have previously attended one of our soap making workshops and who have kept their silicone mould to reuse in this class. You will need to bring back your silicon mould from your first class cleaned and ready to use. You will be taking your soap home with you. It is a good idea to bring a towel to wrap it in and a bag to carry it home - you'll need to keep your loaf snug and warm for 24 hours!
SAFETY NOTE: Lye is an incredibly strong chemical that requires extreme caution. Because of this, we recommend wearing a long-sleeved shirt, pants and enclosed shoes. Please don't worry we will teach you how to handle it safely so you won't have any issues.
We believe craft is as much about creativity as it is about connection, in our workshops you have the opportunity to meet new friends, share a few stories, laugh with each other and simply enjoy some time out for yourself. We have coffee and tea making facilities as well as a few snacks to sustain you through the workshop but if you prefer your caffeine made by a barista you can pick one up on your way in from one of the neighbouring cafes.
Because of the use of chemicals this class is not recommended for pregnant women or children under the age of 16 years.
