Combine two of the most popular fibre crafts of the moment and create your own one-of-a-kind wallhanging!

In this workshop Rebecca, our Chief Crafting Officer, will show you how to combine two traditional fibre crafts that are enjoying newly found popularity in homewares and teach you how to create your own wallhanging to proudly display in your own home.

Macrame is the art of tying knots to create patterns and form decorative textiles. Weaving is the art of crossing two groups of yarns, a warp and a weft, to create a textile or fabric. To create your wallhanging you will be guided step by step through the basic techniques of macramé and then use your macramé ropes as the warp yarns into which you will weave other decorative yarns to create your masterpiece.

Don't worry if you have never tried either craft, this class is perfectly suitable for beginners and those with no textile experience!

We believe craft is as much about creativity as it is about connection, in our workshops you have the opportunity to meet new friends, share a few stories, laugh with each other and simply enjoy some time out for yourself. We have coffee & tea making facilities as well as some snacks to sustain you throughout the workshop but please feel free to come with friends and bring a bottle of bubbles - who says it's too early???

What you get: Everything you need is supplied including your choice of colour from our selection luxury cotton rope and range of fibres, a piece of wooden dowel and all the instructions you will need to complete your wall hanging. Please note colours are strictly limited and vary depending on supply at the time of the workshop so not all options may not be available.

There is no need to bring anything except your excitement to try something new and a bag to carry your masterpiece home in.
