Create your own Japanese inspired moss ball known as a Kokedama. These unique creations have been made for over 400 years and are made by binding together the root ball of a living plant with a special mix of soil and moss that is held together with string. Your Kokedama does not need to be planted or put into a pot, you can hang them, sit them on a plate or in a bowl, they make a lovely decorative feature within your home and an ideal gift for someone special.
What you will learn:
- How to create the perfect mix of soil for your moss ball,
How to wrap create your moss ball,
- How to care for your kokedama and ensure a long life for your plant.
What you get: We will provide everything you need to create 3 seperate moss balls including a selection of seasonal plants, soil mix, moss and string as well as gloves (if you really don't like getting your hands too dirty)
There is no need to bring anything except for your enthusiasm and a bag to carry home your plants.

Access via roller door on Princes Highway (look out for the dark charcoal coloured building just past Mary Street) there is plenty of parking onsite.
We believe craft is as much about creativity as it is about connection, in our workshops you have the opportunity to meet new friends, share a few stories, laugh with each other and simply enjoy some time out for yourself. We have coffee and tea making facilities as well as a few snacks to sustain you through the workshop but if you prefer your caffeine made by a barista you will have to bring it with you. Sample coffee is located nearby in Mary Street but unfortunately they are not open on Sunday.
Cancellation Policy: no refunds for classes but you are welcome to send someone else in your place if you can't make it on the day.
