Intermediate Weaving Workshop With Maryanne Moodie

Take your weaving to the next level with legendary artist and weaver Maryanne Moodie! In this intermediate weaving workshop, you will learn her signature tips and tricks and so much more!

G'day Future Weavers! We are thrilled to welcome renowned weaver, artist and all-round amazing Maryanne Moodie to Sydney and to our workshop.

Maryanne is eager to introduce you to her brightly colored yarns and sustainable looms. Maryanne personally designs her looms and tools, creating them in small, sustainable batches. These are wonderful to use, and they will become beloved pieces in your crafting collection.

This workshop is the ideal next step after completely Maryanne's beginner workshop, wether you attend the morning session, have been before or already have some weaving experience. You will learn additional weaving techniques and approaches to designing your wallhanging. Maryanne is a superb instructor and can accommodate various skill and confidence levels. You can choose to book both classes or just drop into this one but why not make a day of it and register for both classes!

Throughout the workshop, you'll be treated to a tasty afternoon tea to keep your creative energy flowing! And if you do decide to come to both classes we will serving a light lunch between classes!

• Choose your loom size to take home (or choose BYO loom for $50 off)
• 3 hours of tuition with Maryanne Moodie
• We will cover all the intermediate skills that Maryanne is known for
• fluid organic shapes,
• roving croissants,
• continuous looped pile weave,
• D locks,
• woven knots.
• Enough yarn and roving to complete your piece.
• Warp thread.
• Dowel to hang your piece
• Afternoon tea

Cancellation Policy: Due to the limited number of spaces for workshops, all bookings are final and strictly non refundable. We do not refund classes but you are welcome to send someone else in your place if you can't make it on the day or we can send you your class materials and you can access Maryanne’s online course. Since Maryanne is a special guest teacher it is not possible to reschedule the workshop to another day. In most of our workshops we require a minimum number of people to run the workshop and will do our absolute best to run every workshop we list but occasionally it is not commercially feasible to do so. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we may cancel the class; in this case, we'll inform you and allow you to get a full refund or reschedule.
